So happy to be back at #LACHSA (Los Angeles County High School for the Arts) to give a talk and masterclass to the talented and vibrant students. The event took place at Caroline’s LOFT, attended by the Music and Dance Departments. Many thanks to #PasadenaSteinwayGallery for bringing in two pianos and sound system for me to perform on.

I felt deeply honoured to be invited to perform at "Art in AIT" (American Institute in Taiwan).

ABOUT

Ms Gwhyneth Chen is a Taiwanese-American pianist who in 1993, won the biggest cash prize in the history of piano competitions, ($100,000.00.) Ms. Chen, then a young lady of 23, was the youngest contestant at the Ivo Pogorelich International Piano Competition. Subsequent to the award, Mr. Pogorelich himself said of her talent, “She is too good to be true.” Immediately recognized as one of the foremost pianists of her generation, the victory was broadcast internationally on CNN television. In recent years she has played joint concerts with Ivo Pogorelich in Switzerland and in Taiwan.

NTSO Opening Concert of 2020/2021 Season

I will be playing Rachmaninoff Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganin with the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra with Maestro Lan Shui, this is the opening concert of the NTSO 2020/2021season.
